Our Story
The 1 Reset was born from a shared belief: meaningful leadership and meaningful lives are built when we honor who we are, ground ourselves in what we believe, and engage authentically with the work and life we are here to create.
Our mission is to help individuals, teams, and organizations align the way they work and lead with who they are, what they value, and what matters most. We believe that begins by reconnecting people to their talents, values, deeper purpose, and the internal foundation from which they lead.
Though our paths have been very different, both have shaped this work in profound ways. Jomar’s background reflects a multitude of varied roles. It was formed in environments that demanded performance under pressure, endurance, reinvention, adaptability, and the constant interplay of mental, emotional, and physical demands.
Sophie’s path was shaped by leadership in fast-paced corporate environments, global business, and the practical realities of performance, people, and change.
Together, these experiences give us a wide lens and a grounded understanding of what it takes to lead, grow, and stay connected to self in demanding environments.
We like to say that we are two comically different people who connected over a love of travel, wine, and bread. Mix Latin passion, Dutch groundedness, American boldness, and European common sense, and you get us. All of our offerings reflect this eclectic mix, including individual coaching, virtual group series, corporate trainings, and keynote speeches.
Through executive coaching, leadership development programs, cohort-based group coaching, and organizational partnerships, we help people strengthen the internal capacities that shape how they show up, make decisions, build trust, navigate challenge, and sustain performance.
We do not see leadership development as a soft skill or an added extra, but as a foundational skill for navigating complexity, uncertainty, transition, and growth in today’s world.
What makes our work different is the way we hold performance and humanity together. We believe authentic leadership asks us to bring our full selves to the experience: our strengths, ambition, courage, need for renewal, values, and vision for what matters most.
We challenge our clients to look deeper, think differently, and lead in ways that are not only effective, but aligned and sustainable.
At the heart of The Reset is a commitment to helping people build leadership and lives that are meaningful, sustainable, and true.
Both Jomar and Sophie are certified professional coaches (CPC), Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioners, and accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as Associate Certified Coaches (Sophie) and Professional Certified Coach (Jomar).
Jomar is also a Positive Intelligence® certified coach, Sophie is a Positive Intelligence® coach and a certified Happiness Trainer.

Credentials Explained
The International Coach Federation (ICF) provides certifications to coaches who uphold their high-quality, professional, and ethical standards in their coaching, and are committed to continuing their training to do so.
Founding The 1 Reset, Jomar and Sophie both wanted to have these certifications linked to our names, and our company. We are committed, and proud of our education.
In ICF's words:
Anyone can call themselves a coach. But ICF-credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Additionally, they adhere to strict ethical guidelines as part of ICF’s mission to protect and serve coaching consumers.
Jomar and Sophie met during their training at iPEC, a coaching organization that has been accredited by the ICF for over 20 years. The training takes at least 9 months, after which the designation of Certified Professional Coach (CPC) is earned.
Both Jomar and Sophie continued their education with iPEC to become a Master Practitioner in Energy Leadership Index, and added another ~8 months of training to become COR.E Dynamics Specialists in Leadership, and in Transition. We have also added Positive Intelligence to our toolbox.
This is all to say that we don't just wing it. For our clients, we are committed to developing the capabilities, the skills, and the standards that make us the best coach possible. We joyfully put in the hours, the work, the mentoring, so we can serve you.
